Participating

You will get a separate e-mail message for each Service. When you register for a service, you will get two separate e-mail messages from Temple Beth Shalom Host.  The first one will look like this:

This is simply an acknowledgement that you have been registered.

The second e-mail message from Temple Beth Shalom Host will look like this:

Keep this e-mail in a folder where you can find it.  The Click Here to Join is your link to getting into the Zoom Service.  The specific service will be identified in both the Subject and in the first sentence of the message.

Please do not share this e-mail with others. First, for security reasons, we are trying to keep bad actors from entering the service. Secondly, we won’t let anyone into the service who has not previously registered.

If you are simply unable to find the e-mail messages to give you the links

CHECK TO MAKE SURE YOU HAVE ALL OF THE E-MAILS you need for the services you plan to attend.  If you lose your e-mail messages containing the links to join a service, you can send a request to the TBS Host to ask for the e-mail message to be resent.

DO IT NOW, DO NOT WAIT.  If the service is already in progress, you will unlikely be able to get a fresh e-mail.  Realistically, give us 24 hours to get back to you with a resend e-mail.

Joining the Service

To join the service, click on the Click Here to Join link.  You will be put in a waiting room to be brought in to the Service.

If you are late to join the Service

Don’t worry. As long as you have registered, the host will receive a message that you are trying to join the service.  You should be able to join the service shortly.

If all else fails, watch the service on YouTube.

Our Temple Beth Shalom Youtube channel, Temple Beth Shalom – PA, can be found at the following link:

Dear members and friends,

Following the High Holidays in September, we celebrate three additional Holidays in early October: Sukkot, Shemini Atzeret, and Simchat Torah.

Sukkot is the Festival of Tabernacles. In previous years, we have put up a Sukkah at Temple Beth Shalom.

Shemini Atzeret follow Sukkot and is literally the eighth day of celebration of Sukkot, but is also the end holiday for Sukkot.

Simchat Torah marks the conclusion of the annual cycle of public Torah readings, and the beginning of a new cycle.
